Ozark Regional Transit (ORT) is rolling out key route updates in Bentonville and Rogers to improve efficiency, streamline connections, and better serve our riders. These changes come after years of planning and coordination to ensure our transit system meets the needs of the community. The finalized route maps and schedules can be found here in this blog.

What’s Changing?

These updates are designed to improve travel between Bentonville and Rogers, as well as strengthen local transit within each city.

Bentonville & Rogers Shared Updates:

  • Bentonville-Rogers Connector (BRC): Replacing the Bentonville-Rogers Express (BRX), the BRC offers a more efficient connection between the two cities.

  • Route 490 Update (NWACC Express): This route continues to connect Bentonville, Rogers, Springdale, and Fayetteville, with key stops at NWACC Main Campus, Uptown Rogers, and NWA Mall.

What’s Changing in Bentonville?

Route 14: A new route serving Bentonville High School, Haas Hall Academy, Northwest Medical Center, The Links Apartments, and more.

Route 12 Update: Originally launched in late 2024, Route 12 will temporarily continue servicing the Walmart Logistics building until further notice before transitioning to its new permanent route.

What’s Changing in Rogers?

Route 53: Connecting key destinations in Rogers, including Mercy Medical Center, Walmart AMP, Scottsdale Center, and Hunt Tower.

Route 54: Serving the Rogers Convention Center, Embassy Suites, and David Glass Technology Center, strengthening connections between Rogers and Bentonville.

How We Prioritize Route Updates

Each city submits route requests, which ORT addresses on a first-come, first-served basis while considering available resources. Before launching a new route, we ensure we have enough drivers, buses, and staff to support it sustainably.

These updates reflect two years of planning and preparation, ensuring our routes remain efficient and beneficial to the community. Once these updates are live and operating smoothly, we will shift our focus to the next set of requests—including potential new routes in Springdale, Fayetteville, or other growing areas.

What’s Next?

The finalized route maps and schedules can be found here in this blog.

We will also begin sharing these updates on social media. If you have any questions, we’re happy to connect and provide additional details.

Thank you for riding with ORT, and we appreciate your patience as we work to improve public transit in Northwest Arkansas.
