Ozark Regional Transit, Inc. is dedicated to providing safe, reliable and affordable public transportation to both the rural and urban residents of the four county area within our jurisdiction.
It is time once again for our annual Kids Ride Free program. From May 26th - September 4th, 2015, kids 17 and under may ride any ORT Fixed Route without paying a fare. In 2014, we saw a 28% increase in Kids Free Ridership as 6,438 kids boarded our buses to go to places like Malls, Parks, and Libraries. Access to these amenities, in addition to the recently opened Razorback Greenway, are expected to cause a ridership increase over last years numbers. Children under the age of 12 are required to have an older guardian accompanying them. As a reminder, all of our fixed route vehicles are equipped with bicycle racks and many are equipped with free WiFi access.
Ozark Regional Transit has received four new CNG buses to add to its fleet. These buses burn cleaner which is better for the environment and they'll last longer than a typical gasoline-fueled engine. The CNG buses come in conjuction with the recently renovated Kum & Go station at Old Missouri Rd and E Robinson Ave, to become Northwest Arkansas' first CNG fueling station.
